She sternly and majestically presided over the people, attractions, artwork and fanfare of the San Francisco World’s Fair of 1939~1940. For 372 days by the Bay, the Pacifica Statue stood 80-feet tall, overlooking the Court of Pacifica – a promenade of impressive statuary and murals created by local San Francisco artisans.
And then she was blown up. How rude! Let’s bring her back!
